Bold Burberry

Dress: Courtesy of Burberry Prorsum. Shoes: Prada

I still feel incredibly lucky that I get to borrow beautiful clothes. I fell in love with the deep green colour of this dress and can see myself searching for the exact same hue come fall.

I had quite a few emails asking about my make up look for this event. I like to do my own makeup so here's the full 'How To':

*Apply Nars 'sheer glow' liquid foundation to areas that need it. I focus on under eye and a little on chin and nose.

*Dab MAC 'strobe cream' onto cheek and brow bones.

*Lightly dust Shu Uemura face powder over oily areas. Use sparingly to keep the skin 'dewy'.

*Use an angled brush to apply gel liner to top eye lids. I'm using 'black track' by MAC.

*Apply two full coats of mascara. I used Covergirl 'Lash Blast Fusion'.

*Add lashes. I used a couple of Shu Uemura's 'slim partial' accent lashes. They're a nice alternative to a full strip of lashes which I think can look a bit fake. You may need to adjust your liner after applying the lashes. I usually wait until my lashes are dry to add the 'flicked' part of my liner.

*Smile and brush Nars 'Orgasm' onto the apples of your cheeks.

*Finish with MAC 'Ruby Woo' lipstick. This lipstick is super matt and has amazing staying power but because it is so dry you need to prep the lips with a light lip balm. Use a lip brush if you don't like using lip liner

Aztec

Dress: Urban Outfitters. Denim shirt: J Crew. Shoes: Courtesy of New Look
Bag: Courtesy of Mimco. Belt: Vintage.

Lots of you emailed me to ask about these shoes. They are part of a limited range collaboration between New Look and the London Collage of Fashion. As far as I know they have sold out on line but you may still be lucky enough to snag a pair in store. Mine came from the Oxford Circus branch :)

I'm obsessed with blue nails at the moment. The shade I'm wearing here is 'Blue Curacao' courtesy of Mavala. It makes me feel summary despite the lack lustre weather we're having here in London. Which shades are your summer favourites?

Lash out

Lash extensions: Courtesy of Lash Out Lashes.

I've always wanted to try lash extension so I jumped at the chance of a complimentary set of lashes from 'Lash Out Lashes'.

My full set took a little over an hour to complete and the lash technician chatted to me through out and put me at ease. I absolutely loved the results. I didn't need to use eyeliner or mascara and I still had full fluttery lashes :)

The lashes last two weeks and then you're supposed to have them filled in. Definitely worth it if you have a special occasion or a holiday coming up. The only negative is if you live in London lash extensions are expensive. 'Lash Out Lashes' are based in Liverpool and the prices are far more reasonable up there.

Lady Danger

Jersey Trousers: Courtesy of Storets. T.Shirt & Cardigan: TopShop.
Shoes: Christian Louboutin. Bag: Chanel. Sunglasses: Rayban.

We're back on home soil and it feels good :)

As much as I love traveling I hate that it means I can never have all of my wardrobe with me. I miss my clothes! It was nice to get re-aquainted with these Storets pants and my Chanel bag today.

The lip colour is one of my all time favorites- 'Lady Danger' from MAC. It's the perfect orangey red. More of my favorite lippies here.

My hair is having a 'au natural' moment due to all the Bikram yoga I plan to do now that I'm home.... My hair has to only think that there's moisture in the air and it reverts to curly!

Falling For Fall

Skirt: PINE. Tshirt, Turban & Boots: ASOS. Cardigan: TopShop.
Tights: American Apparel. Bag: Chanel.

I got a lot of emails asking about the Stilla creme blusher I posted about here.  You guys couldn't find it anywhere because the brand had been discontinued... I've found the next best thing! Eyeko sent me their new 'Fat Balm' in Raspberry and it is gorgeous! I kinda want them all now. I'm wearing it in these pictures. It gives a lovely natural glow, goes on very smooth AND you can use it on your lips! I've been perusing their site and Im veeeeeeery tempted by the black graffiti pen. It would be great for my winged eyeliner look, no? They're offering free shipping at the moment in case any of you fancy getting a 'fat balm' of your own!

Ok, now on to shoe related news...

I sadly had to sell my JC 'Lita' boots. They were too big for me and it killed me to let them go. I'd been obsessing over them from the moment I saw them in the Jeffery Campbell look book and when mine eventually arrived (after being held hostage in customs for about a decade) I was devastated to find that they didn't fit.... Well you can imagine my absolute GLEE when the boy's brother arrived back form NYC tonight with a brand new pair of blue suede 'litas' for me!!! I squealed! I finally have the right size so you'll be seeing them on here very soon :)

Mon Chat....

Jeans: TopShop. Sweater: Uniqlo. Boots: ASOS.
 Beret: Vintage Mary Quant.

This sweater actually belongs to the boy but he has trouble doing the washing when I'm not around and shrunk it. It's now the perfect slim fit sweater for me. His loss, my gain!

I saw these boots on ASOS and went straight to checkout. I think it's my fastest online purchase ever. Leopard print. Check! Pony effect. Check! Platform. Check!

I'm kind of obsessed with this lip stick. I actually don't even remember buying it... I think it came free in a gift bag. Anyway, it's "Super Stay Colour" by Maybelline and it really works! It stayed on all day and didn't dry my lips at all. I highly recommend it! What are your favorite lip sticks or glosses?

Face Time

A lot of you have been asking about my skin care and make up.... So here you go, ask and you shall receive!

Cleansing

I always take my make up off with an oil cleanser. My absolute favorite is by Shu Uemura. It's probably my favorite skin care product ever! It removes everything and keeps my skin soft. I then wash my face with a gel facial wash. Recently I've been using Dermalogica's 'special cleansing gel'. It cleans my face without stinging my eyes or drying my skin.

Moisture
I travel for work quite a lot so I always stock up on Shishido moisturizer at the airport. I only wear a day cream that has SPF15 or higher and I do this everyday. In the evenings I use No 7's 'Protect & Perfect' night cream. It's incredibly rich but I have no problem going to bed with an oily face!

Base

I'm not a fan of heavy foundations. I think they age you and look cheap.... For day time I love MAC 'face and body'. It has a lovely texture and the bottle is HUGE. If I feel like I need a bit more coverage for an evening out then I use NARS Sheer Glow. This is very creamy but still light enough that your skin can breath.

Eyes

I love a thick line with a flick and I always use MAC fluid line in Black Track. I like full lashes so usually go for 'volume' mascaras. At the moment I'm using 'The Colossal' by Maybelline.

Cheeks

Day to day I use MAC cream blush in 'Posey' and then in the evening I use a NARS bronzer/blusher duo: 'Laguna' and 'Orgasm'. 'Orgasm' is one of NARS's best sellers and I can see why. It has really good pigment with beautiful flecks of gold that blend well and it doesn't streak or go patchy.

Lips

I did a full post on lips here but these two have been my 'go to's' for a while. MAC 'way to love' is a great nude. It goes on really silky and doesn't dry your lips at all. 'True Coral' from Tom Ford is a gorgeous pink coral. It quite bright and is kind of a retro shade.

Thanks to ASOS magazine for the article in this months edition! It's so lovely to get recognition for this blog. You can see the article in all it's colored glory here. (page 46-47)....

p.s I did a hair 'how to' post back here!
