No 1.

Vest: Courtesy of Florette Paquerette. Cardigan: Reverse. Shorts: Vintage.
Clutch Bag: Alexander Wang.  Boots: Dolce Vita. Watch: Michael Kors
'Hand of Fatima' Bracelet: Courtesy of Rock 'n' Rose.

One word to describe these boots: Comfortable.

I'm so looking forward to my first american halloween. The 'Revenge' cast spent saturday evening at the LA haunted hayride in Griffith park. I screamed my ASS off. I'm such a baby!

I still don't have a costume for the actual day.... All ideas will be greatly received :)

Lovelace

Denim Shorts: Vintage (found similar here and here).
Lace Jacket: The Kooples (alternative here).
Sandals: Prada (sold out but great alternative here). Watch: Michael Kors.

This little lace jacket is great for when I want to cover up but still show a lil something.

You've seen these vintage shorts many times before. They're sort of an addiction of mine. I have 5 pairs and counting! They're so reasonably priced in the vintage markets here in LA that I keep buying varying washes and fits.

The boy is away in London. He's shooting a film and is going to be away for a month. I'm missing him terribly. These pictures were taken by my lovely mate Tolga- It was his first time using the 5D and I think he did such a good job!

Happy Birthday

Skirt: Courtesy of Storets.  T.Shirt: Vintage. Belt: Vintage.
Boots: Courtesy of Kandee Shoes. Watch: Michael Kors.

A belated 'happy birthday' post to my manager Christina. This is the outfit I wore to her birthday party. Such a fun evening :)

Still loving my Kandee boots. Some studs have fallen off but I say that those are just battle wounds because these are my party shoes! I seem to have a great night whenever I wear them. These babies are super high and I feel like an unstoppable amazon when I'm in them.

Kimono

Kimono Jacket: Courtesy of Storets. Denim Shorts: Vintage.
Bodysuit: American Apparel. Boots: Jeffery Campbell 'Lita'.

I adore kimonos. I have a gorgeous vintage one that I like to waft around the house in (it makes me feel like a theatre dame) so it pleases me immensely that kimonos are now having a 'moment'. It means I can take my wafting to the streets!

Nowhere

Denim Shorts: Vintage. Jacket: TopShop. Boots: Rag&Bone.
Vest top: Courtesy of 80's Purple. Bag: Mulberry

The boy came to spend the weekend with me in Wilmington and it's been so bloody nice having him here! I'll be very sad to see him leave on Monday :(

These Rag & Bone boots are the ones I posted about here. They've lived up to all my expectations- Soooooooo comfortable and seem to go with everything. I packed a very limited selection for my time in Wilmington so buying these online last week was a nice way to break up the boredom I was having with my clothes.

p.s My bloody macbook has died on me. Does anyone else find that apple products seem to have a 2-4 year life span? It's like they make you buy a new laptop. Ugh!

Portfolio

Shorts: Vintage. Shirt: TopShop
T.shirt & hat: Vintage.

I recently joined IMG and had to do a photo shoot for my portfolio. It's rare that anyone other then The Boy takes my picture and I actually enjoy it but it was a true pleasure working with Khalid El-Awad. Thanks Khalid, I love the pictures!

You can see more pictures from the shoot here.  My heart actually stopped when I saw Tyra on the same page!

Tartan

Denim Shorts & Belt: Vintage. T.Shirt & Coat: TopShop.
Bag: Mulberry. Shoes: Miu Miu. Sunglasses: Kiss.

The weather was so nice today that I got to wear one of my 'lighter' coats. I bought this one over 5 years ago and it's still one of my favorite pieces. I don't keep it with my everyday clothes so when ever I come across it, it's always a nice surprise.

Me and the boy will be off to LA soon. We're going for a couple of months to do some meetings and auditions. I looooove being in LA! I'm already planning when I will be hitting the vintage markets.... For some reason LA has THE best vintage! I plan to stock up on this trip.

p.s I want to do a f.a.q post... Ask anything you want to know by commenting on this post or by sending an email to ringmybellblog@gmail.com and I'll answer in the next post :)

Faux New Year

Denim Shorts: Vintage. Shirt & Leather Jacket: TopShop.
Boots: Courtesy of Kandee Shoes.

For some reason New Year's eve can sometimes feel like a bit of a let down. I decided to solve that by having a pre New Year's eve four days in advance just in case. Streamers and chocolate. Best New Year ever!

I spent my real New Year's eve (wearing a lot more clothing!) having dinner with the boy and friends and dancing by the pool at shoreditch house (love you Vanessa!). It's a miracle that I didn't fall in because I wore the above Kandee boots.... I saw looks of envy directed at my feet all night!

Happy New Year!!!!!

I hope you all had a rocking new year's eve and that 2011 brings you your heart's desire xoxox

When The Boy Is Away...

Ashley: Denim shirt, checked shirt & denim shorts: TopShop.
Stripped Onesie (worn underneath): Alexander Wang. Boots: Jeffery Campbell Lita.
Mischa: Red shirt, checked shirt & denim shorts: Vintage. Boots: TopShop.

Impromptu late night photo shoots are the best. What else is there to do in the week between christmas and new year?! With the boy away I had to bring in some extra help for my outfit posts...

I am very much enamored with my Wang onesie. Now I just need it to be warm enough for me to actually wear it by itself outside. Watch this space.

Mini Leopard

Boots & Leather Jacket: TopShop. Skirt: Courtesy of storets.com
Shirt: Courtesy of Club Couture. Bag: Mulberry mini leopard Alexa. Beret: Vintage

Ooooooooh I cannot even begin to tell you the drama I had getting my hands on this bag. It was a birthday gift from the boy and his lovely family (thank you Goldbergs!) and was ordered in advance of my birthday from Net-a-Porter. First there was a delay getting the bag delivered, then when it eventually arrived I wasn't sure I even liked the bag anymore and spent a week comparing and contrasting it with every other 'Alexa' in the world, then when I finally decided to stop being crazy and admit my love for the bag.... IT BROKE. I wore her for one hour to Sainsbury's and the postman's lock broke. I do not even have the words to express my anger. The following few days were spent on the phone to Net-a-Porter's customer care team (hello Jane!) who arranged to have the broken bag collected and then sent me out a new one. So now here she finally is: My patent mini leopard Mulberry 'Alexa'. And let me tell you something, after all that drama- I love her.

The white shirt I'm wearing comes from Club Couture. I am of the belief that you can never have too many shirts. This one has sparkly buttons so it's completely different from the 6 other white silky shirts in my wardrobe. At least that's what I tell myself ;)

Props to storets.com for this gorgeous skirt.... Makes me feel like a ballerina and since it's black that must mean I'm a black swan ballerina. Yes I am!

p.s Have you noticed Oscar peaking at me from the corner of some of these shots? He gets so excited when me and the boy go outside to take the blog pictures. I'm trying to make a gif of him ambushing me during this shoot.

p.p.s This outfit was only made possible by the two pairs of Uniqlo heat tech leggings and my M&S thermal vest worn under it. God bless thermal!
