Reality

My real NYE celebrations. Lots of dancing and laughing and no one fell in the pool.

Pictures by Kevin Morosky using a Yashica T4.

Not The Boy

 At Home
 In the Taxi
The Event

The boy wasn't available to escort me to an event so Mr Kevin Morosky stepped in.

Kevin likes to take pictures of everything. He actually has polaroids of us from when we were kids working in McD's. Polaroids that will never be seen by the public I might add!

He shoots on film which means no checking to see if you look good and then deleting. Ugh.

He reckons that these shots were the only usable shots form the night but I think he's just trying to avoid having his picture on the blog!

Victim

Kevin is wearing; Carrot jeans: TopMan. Shirt: American Apparel.
T.Shirt: Own design. Sneakers: Puma. Bracelet: Gucci

I am wearing; Dress: Vintage. Belt: Gucci (vintage). Loafers: TopShop.

Kevin and the boy came to visit me on the set of 'Victim'. The dress I'm wearing is part of my costume.

Kevin is one of my oldest and closet friends. I love these pictures of us because our body language is so warm, you can tell that we spend practically all our time laughing when we are together. There is an ease between us that has grown over a decade of friendship. As well as making me howl with laughter he also has impeccable style ;)

I can finally tell you more about my new TV show.... it's a series that I'm shooting in Manchester called 'Bedlam'. I won't ruin it for you but I will say that the scripts are very spooky and I got quite scared reading them!

Long weekend

You can barely see what I'm wearing in these! But I'll tell you anyway;)
Jeans: J Brand. T Shirt: Kain. Tux Jacket: TopShop. Bag: Alexander Wang. Nails: OPI- Done out in Deco.

It's a bank holiday weekend here in England which means GUARANTEED rain! Seriously it has been freezing cold and raining all bloody weekend. Ugh!

Friday night me and the boy went to our favorite cocktail spot in London- Claridges. I adore going there! The bar snacks are yummy and the cocktails are simply the best you'll ever have. We convinced Kevin to join us and we spent a couple of cosy hours in Claridges before getting a taxi over to Soho house for burgers and more cocktails. We some how ended up finishing the night in a funny little bar in Angel that only served 'classic' drinks and had no vodka on the menu. We all had to have whisky sours... not a bad drink actually!

Kevin took all these pictures and I'll be posting more of his work in the coming weeks. He shoots on the same camera that Terry Richardson uses... forgive my ignorance but I can't remember the name of it! If you want to see more of Daren's photography and read some of his lovely writing you can find him here

Something old

First two pictures- Dress: PPQ. Shoes: KG. Clutch: Vintage. Jewelry: CC Skye
Second two pictures- Dress: Oasis. Shoes: Office.
Fifth picture- Dress-PPQ (I think! Apologies if I'm wrong). Shoes: Office.
Final Picture- I have no idea where that dress is from!

As promised here is an old shoot me and the boy did. I'm hoping to find some more.... I think this was actually the first time we did a shoot together. These shots are probably like 2 years old. They were taken by my old apartment in Crystal Palace, London. I used to live there with Kevin Morosky. We had wanted to live together since we were 16 and I look back on our time there fondly. He doesn't but that's another story and not mine to tell.

I am so blonde in these pictures! I'm never doing that again. It's taken me forever to grow the damaged bits out and they're still not all gone. Damn you bleach!

This shoot was Thomas 'ticklemouse' Walker's idea and he did all the makeup. We're not really friends anymore but I'm a grown up lady and I like to give credit where credit is due ;)

Belated

I've been meaning to do a post about my birthday for ages but I've been far too busy watching TV and eating myself silly. Yesterday was the last of the silly eating days. I think.

I'm loving being at home. One of my favourite things to do is browse properties on the internet because I literally cannot wait to live in London. I have a place in LA now and I'll be going back there in Jan but at some point next year I am making London my home again.

I missed my friends so much whilst I've been away and my birthday was the first time we'd all been in the same place at the same time. I picked a cosy pub called The Lansdowne for my birthday festivities. It was freezing outside but the fire and the champagne kept us all warm.

My Zahra. Looking very French. I love the beret and red lips.

My Daren aka Kevin Morosky. My mum calls him her second son. Read his blog here. He takes great pictures on a disposable camera.

At some point in the evening I decided I actually wanted to BE Daren. I took his glasses, his hat and his camera. I found myself HILARIOUS. Everybody else did not.
Photobucket

Cyrena from Garbelle. She made me a gorgeous jacket for my birthday. It's so perfect. Hand made presents rock.
Photobucket

Gemma. She is rocking the bad ass pocahontas look and KILLING it!
Photobucket

Jenni and Stepford. Stepford is called Stepford because she IS a Stepford wife. She bakes whilst wearing a frilly apron and red lipstick. She's my Idol. Jenni is all kinds of awesome :)

Ithai. Another Goldberg boy. I think he wanted to be Daren too.

One of the first things I did when I got to London was take my fur out of storage. I love this coat so much. It cost me 40 pounds from Portobello Market and it's seen me through many winters. (um why is there no pound sign on this computer!?!) I have no idea what fur it is or if it's even real fur. It has been the subject of many a debate. It's super rough and moults like a mutha f**ker... but I love it.

Oscar and I have spent our days hibernating. He takes it very seriously....

He'll even squeeze into a bag if needs be.

I might send that picture to American Apparel. He could easily be a model for them.

This is pretty much my favourite outfit to wear at the moment. A look I like to call: 'Crazy Theatre Dame Chic'.

Kimono: vintage. Leggings and hat: American Apparel. Butterfly vest: TopShop. Leopard scarf (used as belt): H&M.

My darling boy surprised me and bought me the gorgeous heart ring in the above picture. I lusted after it whilst I was in NY. It's an antique from 1880. I adore old rings, actually I adore most old jewellery. This ring made me yearn for it. I went back into the shop so many times and then one day it wasn't there! I was so heart broken.... and then months later my boy gave it to me for my birthday. I have no idea how he managed to keep it a secret for all that time but I'm glad he did.
