This is what I wore to the Malin and Goetz dinner last week. The lovely creators of this skin care brand are well known in New York for hosting yummy dinner parties in their Manhattan store and they decided to bring this experience to London at their pop up lab in The St Martin's Lane Hotel. It was such a lovely evening. We got to meet Andrew and Matthew (lovely), play with the products (lovely) and eat dinner (beyond lovely). For those of you who are unfamiliar with their products I can highly recommend you get your bums down to Space NK and have a play. I've been using their geranium body wash all week and I smell um.... lovely! The boy is very taken with the SPF15 facial moisturizer too. 

The trousers I'm wearing come from the online boutique storets.com. They're made of a heavy weight jersey material kind of like tracksuit bottoms and are sooooooo comfortable. Whilst browsing their site I also came across these beauties:

Face Time

A lot of you have been asking about my skin care and make up.... So here you go, ask and you shall receive!

Cleansing

I always take my make up off with an oil cleanser. My absolute favorite is by Shu Uemura. It's probably my favorite skin care product ever! It removes everything and keeps my skin soft. I then wash my face with a gel facial wash. Recently I've been using Dermalogica's 'special cleansing gel'. It cleans my face without stinging my eyes or drying my skin.

Moisture

I travel for work quite a lot so I always stock up on Shishido moisturizer at the airport. I only wear a day cream that has SPF15 or higher and I do this everyday. In the evenings I use No 7's 'Protect & Perfect' night cream. It's incredibly rich but I have no problem going to bed with an oily face!

Base

I'm not a fan of heavy foundations. I think they age you and look cheap.... For day time I love MAC 'face and body'. It has a lovely texture and the bottle is HUGE. If I feel like I need a bit more coverage for an evening out then I use NARS Sheer Glow. This is very creamy but still light enough that your skin can breath.

Eyes

I love a thick line with a flick and I always use MAC fluid line in Black Track. I like full lashes so usually go for 'volume' mascaras. At the moment I'm using 'The Colossal' by Maybelline.

Cheeks

Day to day I use MAC cream blush in 'Posey' and then in the evening I use a NARS bronzer/blusher duo: 'Laguna' and 'Orgasm'. 'Orgasm' is one of NARS's best sellers and I can see why. It has really good pigment with beautiful flecks of gold that blend well and it doesn't streak or go patchy.

Lips

I did a full post on lips here but these two have been my 'go to's' for a while. MAC 'way to love' is a great nude. It goes on really silky and doesn't dry your lips at all. 'True Coral' from Tom Ford is a gorgeous pink coral. It quite bright and is kind of a retro shade.

The Goods....

A few of you have been asking about products I use... This picture is pretty much what I look like day to day if I clip my extensions in and the things below are what I use the most.


Skin:

Shu Uemura cleansing oil. I wear a ton of black eyeliner and this is the only thing that gets it all off and doesn't sting my eyes. You massage it all over your face (whilst it's dry) and then rinse it off with water. Best. Thing. Ever.

Ren Facial Wash. Smells gorgeous and is free from yucky chemicals.

Shiseido protective moisturizer. This is quite pricey so I only buy it when I'm in duty free at the airport. If I don't use this then I use Olay Complete. I always use an SPF!

I always wash my make up off before I go to bed. Always. Even if I'm drunk! I used to have really bad skin as a teenager so I really look after it now.

Hair:

Moroccan hair oil. I have the worst split ends and this helps them look a little less dry.

Fekkai Daily Fortifier. I use this after I was my hair to help protect from all the heat.

GHD hair straighteners. Could not live without mine! I use them to get my hair straight and create beachy waves. I find them easier to use then curling irons.

I have quite curly, frizzy hair naturally. I've never chemically straightened it. I rough dry it and then use GHD's to get it straight/wavy. I part it into sections and clip in the extensions. I then go through the whole thing and loosely curl my hair with the extensions to kind of blend it in.

Make up:

MAC Face and Body foundation. I've been using this for nearly 10 years. I love the light coverage it gives. I hate to look too 'made up'.

Touche Eclat. Nothing to say about this except: It's the #1 beauty product sold worldwide and there is a reason for this!

Mac Fluid Line in "Blacktrack". I use this everyday! I love the density of the blackness and I find it easier to use then liquid eyeliner. I use it with an angled brush to get a really good flick.

Stila Convertible Colour. I think have nearly every colour of these! I use them on my cheeks and lips. The packaging is very cute.

I have a huge make up collection but these are the things I use everyday. I have my daily make up routine down to a fine art now, it takes me about 7 minuets and then I'm good to go.

Even though pilot season is over and I'm back in London, me and the boy are still doing acting camp! Because we're not in LA we have to put ourselves on tape for projects and send them off. This can be a long process because we are actors and therefore NEVER happy with what we've done! We're always saying "lets just do one more take". Cut to 4 hours later and we're still on the same scene! I might start setting an egg timer to speed us up....
