Olympia's Apt in NYC

We stayed at our best friend Olympia's place in New York and it is such a paradise! We always have the most killer time together, especially with Eloise her Jack Russell! Eloise is one of the cutest pooches we know and she loves being photographed and is obsessed with her one eyed dirty old panda toy named "baby" who she kisses all day! "Baby" has to be put in the freezer at night otherwise Eloise obsesses and doesn't sleep! Haha! Olympia and her parents magically renovated and decorated her Soho apt a few months ago and made her amazing home into a beachy, relaxing and inspiring haven...you forget you are living in NY! She collects Paris Vogues, vintage lace garments from the flea market, turquoise jewelry, Mexican hand painted skulls and loves pink peonies. Olympia is an extremely talented artist and fashion designer and all of the artwork on the walls is done by her. Her pencil drawings are so realistic and breathtaking! Her mom, Michelle Lloyd is an amazing interior designer who is based in Toronto and Miami and Olympia simply learned from the best!

Dad's Photography

Our Dad is an unbelievable photographer and we have been going to flea markets with him for about ten years now. He took these photos one weekend in 2001, at the outdoor Chelsea Flea Market in NY which is not there anymore. These are some of our all time favorite pics and the feeling in these pics remind us why we love vintage fairs/flea markets so much! We just spent a week in New York and are coming back to snowy Toronto today! Can't wait to show you what we were up to! To see more of our Dad's cool photography that he exhibited in the 1970's, click here.

Our Best Friend, Danielle Hession ART!

We spend a whole lotta time with Danielle goofing around! She is the sweetest, cutest and most adorable friend! She is like a sister to us. Not to mention she is an unbelievable artist. Danni has been on the blog 20 times so you've probably seen her! If not click here! YAY! Our Mom commissioned her to make some art pieces. So of course Danielle did the most beautiful job ever! She did 4 art pieces total. The first piece: Is our Mom as a baby with her parents. The seond piece: Is our Mom dressed up as a ballerina before her dancing recital. The third piece: Is our Mom and Dad on a date and they decided to take some photos in a photobooth in the 70's. The fourth piece: Is of the three of us on the jungle gym in our backyard. We have on some pretty funky outfits! Samantha is on the left, Chloe in the middle and Caillianne is on the right. Its the most amazing experience working with Danielle because she takes time to sit down and learn about your family history, favourite colors and she has this amazing vision to make your family history into a beautiful keep sake that you can hang on your wall. These pictures glow with Beckerman happiness and we love them so much! The best thing about Danielle's website is that you can custom order your own art by uploading your own photographs directly to her website and she can make you some beautiful art too! Or you can contact her directly at Danielle@DanielleHession.com for more information. Her art makes the best gift! Her blog is super cool too! Check it out here! xox Beckerman girls
